Battleship Movie

Peter Berg (Hancock) produces and directs Battleship, an epic-scaled action-adventure that unfolds across the seas, in the skies and over land as our planet fights for survival against a superior force.
Inspired by Hasbro's classic naval combat game, Battleship stars Taylor Kitsch as Lt. Alex Hopper, a Naval officer assigned to the USS John Paul Jones; Brooklyn Decker as Sam Shane, a physical therapist and Hopper's fiancee; Alexander Skarsgard as Hopper's older brother, Stone, Commanding Officer of the USS Sampson; Rihanna as Petty Officer Raikes, Hopper's crewmate and a weapons specialist on the USS John Paul Jones; and international superstar Liam Neeson as Hopper and Stone's superior (and Sam's father), Admiral Shane.
Battleship has earned $79,026,506 in markets outside North America, as of April 19, 2012. The film opened on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 in many countries outside North America, more than five weeks before its North America release, earning $7.4 million.

Through Friday, the film earned a 3-day total of $25 million. In South Korea, it achieved the highest-grossing opening day for a non-sequel and the third-highest overall ($2.8 million).

It also set an opening-day record for Universal Studios in Malaysia ($390,000).

By the end of its opening weekend, it earned $55.2 million from 26 markets, ranking second behind Titanic 3D

In the United Kingdom, it opened with £3.76m; in comparison to other Hasbro films, Battleship was behind the first Transformers (with £8.72m) but did better than G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (with £1.71m).

Battleship was Universal's biggest opener in history in Ukraine.
